Education & Training Centre

The vision behind the Paper Trail project is the creation of an activity based learning centre built around a real life working environment involving industrial, commercial, artistic, leisure and research activities. The core theme is sustainability, using paper and print media as the focal point.

The Paper Trail offers:

  • Education programmes for the local community, schools, colleges and universities
  • Professional training for and about the paper and print media industries
  • Free computer training for beginners and anyone wanting to develop their skills

The Paper Trail has purpose built facilities for practical training in papermaking, two fully equipped digital training centres with computer workstations and a smartboard teaching aid plus 2 further classroom facilities for up to 70 students.

We are always interested in talking to potential tutors, whether they want to volunteer their skills, or seek occasional paid work

Our Schools’ Enterprise and Work Experience programmes offer a unique structured experience of the world of work in a real world setting for young people aged 14 to 19. More....
